This scholarship program is for CCSEFCU members only. Students may join the credit union and then apply. All students in the Cecil County Public School System, Tome School, and Tri-State Academy are eligible for membership.

All essays must be forwarded to the credit union at 203 Booth Street, Elkton, MD by April 10, 2015 for a decision to be made by May 15, 2015. - be and/or become a member of CCSEFCU
- be a high school senior
- have a GPA of 2.5 or above
- submit a two page double-spaced essay on the topic: "Imagine that you are talking with a friend.
Explain to them the value of your credit union membership."
$12,000 College Scholarship Awards Program
Headed off to college in 2015? Are you a credit union member? Well your credit union and the Credit Union Foundation of MD/DC are pleased to announce a college scholarship opportunity that may make it easier for you to meet tuition costs. The $12,000 Credit Union College Scholarship Program for 2015 is underway now! MD & DC college-bound credit union members are eligible to apply for one of ten $1,000 essay-based scholarships one $1,000 video-based scholarship, and one $1,000 scholarship in the new photo-essay category*

Applying in the photo-essay category?
Photographers are invited to capture an original photograph that represents the credit union core value “Thrift.”
This year’s video challenge is:
“Create a 60-second (or less) advertisement for a credit union wanting to reach out to college-aged students”
Any member of a Maryland or D.C.-based credit union
who is entering their freshmen through senior year of college or trade school may apply.
Deadline for applications is March 31, 2015. Awards will be made in May 2015.

2014 Scholarship Winner
Tyler Wyatt, a graduate of North East High School and the School of Technology, is this year’s CCSEFCU Scholarship winner. He was awarded $1000, which he will use to attend the Automotive Training Center in Exton, PA. Tyler will begin training in June 2014 and graduate in February 2016 as an ASE Certified Automotive and Diesel Technician. The Credit Union congratulates Tyler on his accomplishments and wishes him much success in his future endeavors.
